Consulting & System Design

The Blueprint Before the Build.

At Hyperstream Systems, we operate on a simple principle: Measure twice, cut once.

Too often, technology is an afterthought in the construction process, leading to expensive change orders, ugly cabling workarounds, and systems that don’t meet the end-user’s needs. We believe that a successful project is defined long before the first technician arrives on site.

We bridge the gap between architectural vision and technical reality. Our Consulting & Design services provide a comprehensive roadmap for your technology, ensuring that your audio, video, and network infrastructure integrates seamlessly with the physical design of your building.

Our “Technology-Agnostic” Approach

Core Design Deliverables

We provide professional documentation that speaks the language of architects, general contractors, and electricians:

  • Needs Assessment & Workflow Analysis: We sit down with your stakeholders to define the “Use Case.” Who is using the room? What devices are they bringing? How do they need to connect? We define the functional scope before discussing hardware.
  • Engineering & CAD Documentation: We produce detailed Signal Flow Schematics, Rack Elevations, and Reflected Ceiling Plans (RCPs). These drawings ensure that conduit, power, and data locations are perfectly coordinated with the electrical and construction teams.
  • Acoustic Modeling & Simulation: A beautiful room is useless if you can’t hear the speaker. We analyze room dimensions and surfaces (glass, concrete, drywall) to predict reverberation issues, recommending acoustic treatments or specific speaker placements to guarantee intelligibility.
  • Budgeting & Lifecycle Planning: We help you forecast the true cost of ownership. We develop accurate hardware budgets and labor estimates, helping you plan not just for the installation, but for the future maintenance and eventual refresh of the system.

Partnering with Architects & GCs

We play nice with others. Hyperstream Systems acts as the dedicated technology advocate during the construction phase.

We attend site construction meetings to coordinate with HVAC, Lighting, and Electrical trades. By catching potential conflicts early—like a duct running exactly where a projector lift needs to go—we save our clients thousands of dollars in rework and construction delays.

Why Design First?

Skipping the design phase is the most expensive shortcut you can take.

  • Eliminate “Scope Creep”: A clear design freezes the scope, protecting your budget.
  • Performance Guarantee: Engineering proves the system works on paper before equipment is purchased.
  • Aesthetic Harmony: We ensure technology blends into the architecture, rather than cluttering it.
